Gwinnett County Jail, especially unit N, is proud to be part of the Operation Second Chance Program.  The Jail Cat unit is a wonderful program that allows inmates to care for the cats until they are adopted into a loving home. Here are the names and descriptions, of the cats we currently have In our unit:


To apply for any of our available cats, please fill out our application at www.sohfga.com, noting "Jail Cat" and the name of the cat you would like to adopt. Please email us at jaildogs@gmail.com with any questions. The adoption fee for kittens is $100.  Cats 1 year and older or $50.   
​The adoption fee includes all vetting including spay or neuter, vaccinations and combo test.

Thank you to all of our sponsors! They help make what we do possible. Sponsors receive recognition on the website and on our Facebook page, and when their cat is adopted they receive a Certificate of Completion.

We gratefully accept multiple sponsorships per cat; all sponsorship money goes directly to the care, feeding and supplies for the cats. Thank you!

Louise and her twin sister Thelma have found themselves “incarcerated” in the Jail Cat Program for being cuter than the law allows!  These two adorable, bobbed tailed sisters are busy keeping the Jail Cat Handlers on their toes as they chase one another around the unit looking for the next big adventure!  Thelma and Louise are looking for a good time and would love to share that with a family or families of their very own.  For more information on how you can adopt Louise fill out a cat adoption application.

About Me:
Adorable little Minnie was a feral kitten when she first arrived into the program, but with the loving touch and care of her handlers she has become a very sweet girl that is ready for her next big adventure.  Minnie enjoys playing with toys, purring next to her handlers’ head at night and snuggles.  If you would like to find out more about Minnie fill out a cat adoption application today!
